It’s that time of year again when the sugar bunnies and marshmallow Peeps make their appearance at every store in town, when eggs are sold by the dozens and transformed into works of art. It’s Easter – and we have plenty of fun community events you’re invited to share in this Sunday at Stonebrae!

From 10:00am until 11:30am, bring the whole family out to the Dormy House for a morning of fun at our famous Easter Brunch, where the menu will be à la carte. If you miss the first seating – don’t worry, you can enjoy the same delicious menu with a second seating available between 12:00pm – 1:30pm.

Then, don’t forget to bring the family to the annual Stonebrae Easter Egg Hunt! Let the kids hunt down as many eggs as they can find between 12:00pm – 1:30pm. Last year’s event was definitely a highlight for the children at Stonebrae and this year will be even better!

Accomplishing a goal to raise over a quarter-million dollars for Bay Area charities and non-profit organizations is kind of a big deal! That’s why each year TPC Stonebrae hosts its championship tournament to raise money to give back to the community. Now the countdown has begun and we’re officially less than one month away from the annual TPC Stonebrae Championship.

April 11th – 15th, 2012, you’re invited to attend the TPC Stonebrae Championship at picturesque TPC Stonebrae in Hayward, CA. The tournament will include the Jerry Rice Pro-Am driven by Audi on Wednesday, April 11th.  Back for its third consecutive year, this is your chance to watch celebrities like Jerry Rice play alongside PGA TOUR STARS in real tournament conditions while benefiting charity.

And, as if that weren’t enough, The Birds Nest on the ninth green will return for the Birdies for Beer promotion! This hangout spot will be open to the public Wednesday – Sunday from 9:00am to sundown, allowing for ample time to get up close and personal with the players. Each birdie or eagle netted by tournament players results in $3 and $2 beers for everyone in attendance for five minutes. And with all proceeds benefiting Bay Area charities – it’s kind of big deal!

This is one big deal event you won’t want to miss! So be sure to purchase your tickets to this exciting event before it’s too late by visiting TPCfun.com.

Some people love the idea of spending the holidays in a place that evokes the winter spirit – icicles, cold weather, snowmen, the smell of fresh-cut trees and holiday lights.

Others prefer spending their holiday time in the comfort of their own homes, close to friends and family and cozy from the outside climates. While you may not be able to ski the slopes or throw snowballs in the front yard, should you choose to stay home this holiday, there are many things you can do inside that the whole family will enjoy.

5 ways to celebrate the holidays at home:

  1. Watch a holiday movie. You can rent a movie, go to the theater or even host a holiday movie party. View a classic or something you’ve never seen. Either way, seeing a family holiday movie together is always a great way to get in the spirit.
  2. Bake some holiday treats or even an entire meal for the family. Take the time to set a formal dining table and serve your loved one a full four course meal.
  3. Make a gingerbread house. This is a great way to get family members to contribute to something everyone enjoys! Here’s a tasty and easy recipe with directions to get you started.
  4. Host a holiday sports party. Christmas Day will be full of sports programs for the whole family. With teams returning Christmas Day from the NBA lockout, you can spend the entire day relaxing with friends and family watching the big game.
  5. Start drafting your list of New Year’s resolutions. Take some time to focus in on what you really want to accomplish in 2012 and write it down. Then, once you’ve compiled your list, make a few bullet points mapping out how you will accomplish each goal.

We’d like to thank all our readers for your continued support and our residents for making the Stonebrae community such a special place. Happy holidays from the entire Stonebrae team!
